Natacha Fialkovsky inherited a rich repertoire of Russian songs and romances from her family. It is around this heritage full of vitality and inventiveness that her ensemble Natacha & Nuits de Princes was built, while evolving step by step towards adaptations or creations written by Natacha, arranged or composed with talent by the guitarist and artistic director of the group, Olivier Cahours. Russian balalaika and domra, double bass, classical and steel string guitars, cavaquinho, percussion, dialogue and combine to enhance the melodies, rhythms and lyrics of Slavic songs.
Nuits de Princes: this is the title of Joseph Kessel's very colourful novel recounting the crazy nights of the Russian cabarets in Paris in the 1920s... There is no doubt that the five instrumentalists in this evening's concert will plunge us into the very special atmosphere of these legendary places and will make this literary reference resonate as if it were obvious.
