Mysteries of the Balkans Festival – Voices, Music and Dance

Concerts, family shows, dances, gatherings, and more.

Flamboyant, vibrant, eclectic, and inspired: the Balkans form a dazzling cultural mosaic, nourished by centuries of encounters and exchanges.
Far from museums or picture-postcard clichés, the Mysteries of the Balkans Festival draws on this living vitality to reveal all its richness and expressive power. It brings together artists from Bulgaria, Macedonia, Crimea, Romania, Turkey, Greece, and even Ukraine for a series of concerts, family shows, dances, gatherings, conferences, and film screenings.

Syncopated songs, whirling dances, unheard-of timbres, and colorful village costumes: traditions here embody both the memory of peoples—sometimes painful—and their extraordinary ability to celebrate the wonders that surround them.
