This course offers an introduction to Latin American rhythms through a didactic and hands-on repertoire, which is adapted for the voice and for instruments.
Musical genres are approached through practice, and oral transmission; the written teaching material for melodic and rhythmic instruments will only be used as references for certain rhythmic details.
Rhythms studied:
Peruvian (Landó, Festejo, Marinera, Vals, Panalivio)
Colombian (Bambuco, Pasillo, Porro),
Venezuelan (Joropo, Merengue),
Cuban (Danzón, Habanera, Son),
Argentinian (Milonga, Tango)
Brazilian (Choro, Samba, Forro).
Moderate proficiency on an instrument is essential. Sergio also offers private guitar classes to individuals and small groups

Bharat Natyam is the most ancient style of traditional dance in India. It is a difficult and complex dance, in which each movement of the body (abhinaya) and each hand gesture (mudra) holds symbolic meaning. What appears to be so fluid, graceful and easy demands lengthy training and daily practice.
