Music, like dance, has always been and remains a means of expression and elevation of the human being. If there is harmony between space, movement and sound, all people vibrate together, the vibrational intensity increases. A moment of grace is created. This workshop offers work and a collective experience that improves body awareness and knowledge.
Claudia Heinle
A consummate professional and experienced pedagogue with loads of enthusiasm, Claudia Heinle has been sharing her passion for Egyptian dance and culture for thirty years. She has been attracted to the sources of Sufism since the very beginning of her career. In 2015 she made her dream came true by sharing in a trance/meditative experience with the Naqshband brotherhood.
For the last five years, she has been editing a book on the danced movement of Egypt, from the pharaohs to our times.
Claudia is an independent artist who does not belong to any specific group or religion.
Caroline Chevat
Initiated to music at the age of three, Caroline Chevat began studying the piano at six, then the violin and the guitar. She began her excellence training in Egyptian music and dance in 1996. With the Egyptian percussion master Ibrahim el Minyawi, she began a long apprenticeship from master to student in the oriental tradition and perfected in darabuka and Daff. After ten years of study, Caroline receives the title "tabla player" from Ibrahim el Minyawi. In 2017 she recorded her first solo disc on her favorite instrument, the Daff. She is a percussionist, dance and yoga teacher and music producer from Egypt under the independent label tanz raum. A teacher for fifteen years, she has traveled across Europe to share her passion and professionalism with enthusiasm, conviction, humor and gentleness. With Claudia Heinle, she co-directs the tanz raum.
